Charity Patrons

Lieutenant Commander John Scivier MSc CMgr FCMI FInstLM FRSA MCGI Royal Navy (Rtd)

John is a retired Royal Navy officer and of particular note was Commanding Officer of HMS Victory from March 2006 until September 2008. He is a fellow of a number of professional bodies, is a Freeman of the City of London and was named the Institute of Leadership and Management achiever of the year 2008 and 2009. John is Vice-Chairman of the Society of Friends of the Royal Naval Museum and HMS Victory and is a keen supporter of a number of other charities including Wooden Spoon, the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Children's Fund and of course the Geoff Smith MS foundation. He has taken part in many charity challenges, including a successful summiting of Mount Kilimanjaro, trekking to Mount Everest Base Camp and climbing the three highest mountains in the North Afican Atlas Mountains. He is an independant advisor to Geoff and the team and also updates and runs the charity's web site.

'I first met Geoff in late 2006 and attended my first Geoff Smith Ball the following year and was then well and truly hooked! When you meet Geoff and Chris, you cannot help being overwhelmed by their commitment, drive and dedication to the foundation.They are a remarkable couple and I am both honoured to be a Patron of this extremely worthwhile cause and to now count them as dear friends'

   

Mathew Le Tissier

Matt Le TissierMatthew Le Tissier, has been a patron of the charity since day. "Like all great inspirational people, Geoff has the ability to see the problem, know how to fix the problem and find a way to solve it. there are thousands of people with MS in this country who can benefit from a much-needed break in the sun and I will always try and support such a worthwhile project."

Richard Hall

Richard HallEx-Southampton player, Richard Hall, is a keen participant of the Geoff Smith Foundation Charity Golf days. Richard says "Not only does this charity do amazing things for people with MS it also knows how to have great fun doing it. Geoff's fundraising events are legendary and if you've ever felt like you would like to do something for a good cause pick up the phone or look through this website and see what events are coming up.
