Spanish Villa

The villa is situated in Orihuela approximately 10 minutes from Torrevieja on Spain's Costa Blanca. Alicante airport is a 45 minute drive with Murcia airport 25 minutes away. There is a communal swimming pool on the complex with shops, bars, restaurants nearby.

The villa has three bedrooms and can sleep 5 people. The downstairs bedroom has one single bed plus an easybed, giving more access for a wheelchair user.We have just installed a wet room to make life easier.We have an electric scooter available if needed, plus a wheelchair, babies pram, and carry cot. You do not need to take bed linen, towels( we even have beach towels) we even have a hair dryer.Please call Baz and Gloria  669 533 431when you arrive at the airport then they will be there to meet you at the villa. They are also contactable before you go on baz.oneill1@btinternet.com or gloria_whcc@btinternet.com. They may also be able to help with transport to and from the airport if necessary.

All breakages, or damage MUST be reported to Bazand Gloria before you leave.

It must be stressed that a car will be needed during your stay.

Here is a copy of an e mail received following a visit by a couple in August 2010 - we are delighted that the villa met their needs.

Dear Geoff,

My wife Rose, an MS sufferer, and I were initially informed of your Spanish villa by Dave Turpin, who is father-in-law to one of Rose's nephews, Tim Arnold. It sounded ideal and we spent last week there, relaxing and enjoying the very hot sunshine - and a torrential downpour on Thursday morning which cleared the air. As Rose was a bit unsteady we stayed fairly close to home, using the lovely pool, sunbathing at the villa and venturing out in the evening for a meal, or using the barbecue. All in all a great break and, following the loss of her job a few months ago, just what Rose needed.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, finding the villa an ideal base that caters for the needs of people like Rose very well; we left some comments in the visitors book (all positive!) but particularly wanted to mention Baz & Gloria O'Neill. They proved to be outstanding, from the initial meeting to the last farewell. They were friendly, caring and supportive throughout our visit, willingly driving us to wherever we wished to go and always ensuring Rose's needs were of paramount importance; they made it clear that nothing we required was too much trouble for them. We can't praise them highly enough and hope they will be retained as valued members of your team for a very long time. In short, they are an absolute credit to your organisation.

We hope we'll be able to re-visit the villa next year but, until then, wanted to thank you for having such a great facility available and to let you know that the support out there was marvellous.

Access to the beaches of Orihuela
Just over 20 kilometres from the town of Orihuela, heading towards Bigastro and a stone's throw from San Miguel de Salinas, we find 16 kilometres of residential areas developed at the beaches of Punta Prima, Playa Flamenca, Cabo Roig, Campoamor, La Zenia and Mil Palmeras. These residential areas cater for family properties which a keep a peaceful and social environment, and a perfect balance between construction and green areas, amongst which is the beautiful pine forest of Dehesa de Campoamor. Several blue flags representing clean seas, flutter on these excellent beaches of Orihuela.

Orihuela offers one of the best and most important golfing opportunities in the Mediterranean. Three excellent courses of international prestige, locations of important European tournaments, make up a total of 54 holes in an area of 1,700,000m.

The design and varied landscaping of each course offers you the possibility of choosing the layout which is best adapted to your game. You can choose between playing on a flat, open course with gentle slopes, on another where the course is a succession of surprising holes, or a third on which the difficulty and risk mean you have to keep up your concentration with every stroke.
