Fundraising

You will have realised by now that The Geoff Smith Foundation is a small and friendly charity which is wholly supported through the hard work of its founders and supporters. Because we are not Government funded the charity raises all of its resources through fundraising events and activities, and through private donations from generous companies and individuals.

GOLF DAYS
We always aim to have fun when we raise our funds. Our golf days have been the bedrock of our success and provided much of the money needed to buy the holiday villa for MS sufferers.

The details of the programme for the Geoff Smith Foundation Golf Day being held at Brokenhurst Manor Golf Club on 30th September 2010 are:

Competition: 18-hole Team Stableford;
Total of best three Team members points scored on each Hole;
[Note: If a player is unable to score on a hole they should pick-up their ball, this will allow the games to continue at a good pace and reduce any delays to the Teams behind you].

Handicap: Full Handicap allowance;
Players own Golf Club handicap applies;
Maximum handicap allowed is: Men - 24; Women - 30.

On Arrival: Please check-in your Team at the Reception desk situated in the Clubhouse; the Team Captain collects the Team scorecard;
Coffee and Bacon roll will be provided

Completion of Please hand your Team scorecard into the Reception desk
Round: immediately on completion of your round.
A buffet meal is available for each person after you have completed your game - so once 'cleaned up' enjoy the food.

Dress Code: Please comply with the BMGC Dress Code (copy of which is attached).

[Note: there will be a 3-Tee start, with Teams starting play from the 1st, 7th and 13th Tees. You will be notified of your start Tee when you pick-up your scorecard on arrival]
14.00 - 15.00 Completion of Team rounds
14.00 onwards 'Running Buffet'
16.00 Presentation of prizes

Sideline Competitions: Beat the Professional on 12th Hole
'Best Dressed Team' (as it's the Ryder Cup on the following day you can turn-out in your Team uniform!)

Tickets are £50 per head,

£450 for a table of 10 or £500 for a table of 12.
