Fundraising

You will have realised by now that The Geoff Smith Foundation is a small and friendly charity which is wholly supported through the hard work of its founders and supporters. Because we are not Government funded the charity raises all of its resources through fundraising events and activities, and through private donations from generous companies and individuals.

GOLF DAYS
We always aim to have fun when we raise our funds. Our golf days have been the bedrock of our success and provided much of the money needed to buy the holiday villa for MS sufferers.

Our last golf day on Thursday 1st October at Brokenhurst Manor Golf Club raised almost £3000 which we are pledging to Jeff Bulpett's wheelchair appeal. (see news page)

Golf Format ~ South Winchester

o Registration from 7.30 am .tea/ coffee& bacon bap on arrival
o £420 a team (4 team members Including evening event)
o Sponsor a hole for £125
o Stableford best 3 from 4, maximum handicap for men 28 and ladies 36
o Tee off starts at 8.00am from the 1st and 10th tee
o Longest drive competition for all (Except P.G.A. Golfers)
o Nearest the pin competition for all players

Evening Format ~ Novotel, Southampton

o Black Tie or Lounge suit
o Arrive at 18:30 for a champagne reception
o 4 Course meal followed by golf prize ceremony
o Comedian~ Scott Charlton
o Live Band ~back by popular demand = DIANE SHAW
o Horse racing, bingo, raffle auction and much, much more!
o Max 10 people for round table of 10, up to 20 people long table.
o Evening tickets for non-golfers £48 per person; book early to avoid disappointment!

o Advert in program.

Golf teams and evening tickets need to be booked as soon as practically possible, this prevents us from chasing people on the day which is both embarrassing for those being chased and frustrating for the committee. We appreciate that the financial calendar can prevent payment early payment; we just need your commitment at this stage, so fill out the attached form to secure your place. Payment is required no later than April 10th 2010, and early payment where possible is appreciated and we will accept post-dated cheques, if that helps?
